Tested Samsung batteries Galaxy Note 7 independently contrary to the General practice – Interfax

Moscow. 17 Oct. INTERFAX.RU Korean company Samsung carried out a test battery for Galaxy Note 7 in our own laboratory, which is different from the practice of other phone manufacturers, writes The Wall Street Journal.

Manufacturers of all smartphones before the start of sales in the United States need to test their batteries in one of the 28 laboratories certified by the industry Association for cellular telecommunications (CTIA), in compliance with the standards set by the Institute of electrical and electronics engineers. Samsung is the only company to receive CTIA certification tests in the laboratory she owned.

Official representative of Samsung insists that internal tests revealed no problems with the battery of the Galaxy Note 7 or in the first version of the smartphone, nor updated.

However, in early September the company was forced to suspend the implementation of these smartphones around the world and to withdraw the 2.5 million already sold devices due to reports of fire.

Samsung first announced the Galaxy Note 7 exchange on updated smartphones, which was supposed to have been eliminated defect of the battery. However, reported cases of fire, even updated devices forced the company to cease the production and sale of smartphones.

on Monday, Japanese authorities have forbidden to carry Galaxy Note 7 in the planes last week, a similar ban introduced the U. S. Department of transportation.
