Media: Samsung started to change Galaxy Note 7 airports – TASS

NEW YORK, 19 Oct. /TASS/. South Korean company Samsung proposes to change voluntarily the exploding smartphone Galaxy Note 7 directly at the airports before departure. This practice already exists in Australia, Austria, South Korea and the United States. About it reports TV channel ABC News.

At the same time, as stated by the company publishing Business Insider, calling all Samsung owners of Galaxy Note 7 to exchange your device or get a refund before arrival at the airport. “Security must remain our top priority,” said Samsung Electronics.

the company has Previously imposed a ban on the transportation of Galaxy Note 7 during flights in the United States and from the United States. The ban on the use of smartphones available on flights of many international airlines, including Russian “Aeroflot”.

on 2 September Samsung announced the massive recall and suspension of sales of Galaxy Note 7 due to the problems detected with rechargeable batteries which could spontaneously explode. Later the company said that the defect is resolved. However, the problem has not been solved. 11 October, Samsung Electronics announced a complete halt of production of the Galaxy Note 7.
