Nothing beats comparing two handsets against each other and this time it’s the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the HTC One, which is due for release any day now. Both top devices have plenty to offer you.
The appearance of the two devices are very different from one another, but they both run on Android. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 falls into the phablet category as it has quite a large screen, so you will want to bear this in mind when making your choice.

The HTC One has 2GB of RAM, comes in either 32GB or 64GB and supports SD card. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 offers 2GB of RAM and comes in either 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It supports SD card with the option of adding on an extra 64GB.
The HTC One comes with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and can be updated. The handset also has Sense UI. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 also has Jelly Bean 4.1.2 that can be updated and the device comes with TouchWiz.
The cost of the device will depend on what carrier you are with and where you live. In the UK the Samsung Galaxy Note will set you back around £ 550 and the HTC One is available SIM free for around the same price.
The HTC One is available in black, silver or red. It weighs 143 grams and measures 137.4mm x 68.2mm x 9.3mm. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the larger out of the two handsets and comes in grey, blue, white, pink, ruby ??or brown. It weighs 183 grams and is 151.1mm x 80.5mm x 9.4mm.
The HTC One is a superb device due to the curves and the metal design. Not only does it look like a premium device, but it is a premium device. Unfortunately the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 looks plastic and this is where it loses points.
The HTC One has a 8 megapixels camera that supports flash, fsce detection, smile detection and touch focus. It has the ability to record in 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. The camera of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on the front is 1.9 megapixels, while the HTC One comes with the Ultrapixel 4 megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus and can record video in HD. The HTC One also has a 4 megapixels camera, but this doesn’t compare to the 8 megapixel camera that The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has to offer.
Both of the devices have LTE, NFC and Bluetooth 4. The HTC One comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a / ac / b / g / n and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 also has the S pen, while the HTC One doesn’t have anything similar to this. The HTC One comes with Blinkfeed HTC Watch, Beats Audio and Zoe. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has Smart Rotate, S Voice and Smart Stay.
Both are fantastic handset and to choice which would be best suitable for you you will need to think about the appearance of the device, how much storage you require and the size of the handset.
