A Samsung tipster has handed us a list of devices which are said to be getting the upcoming Android 5.0 Key Lime pie OS. GSMArena has posted the list which was said to come from an unnamed “Samsung source”, the list tells us that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phablet will be getting the update to Key Lime Pie 5.0, some point in the future. The information also said that the phablet could continue to receive further operating system updates after the update to 5.0. This is superb news for AT & T Samsung Galaxy Note 2 owners along with those considering buying the device, which at the moment has a price tag of around $ 149 when you take it out on contract with some retailers, including Amazon Wireless store.
The phablet is well known for many reasons; it has the multi-window split screen feature. This means you can have two windows which you can resize, and multitask with two separate apps at the same time. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes with the stylus S Pen, which has been redesigned, this is now longer and thicker than the stylus that came with the original version of the Samsung Galaxy Note.
The redesigned stylus also works with the display as it recognizes when the tip of the S Pen is hovering above the screen. This means it can give you information about a website, app or anything else without you having to click on it, this improves productivity. Contextual awareness can be seen in the feature for the audible and visual alarm, which you can set, this tells you when the S Pen is too far from home. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was the first phablet to come with Android’s 4.1 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box.
The smart stylus works with native handwriting recognition technology, this means that you can doodle, draw or even write in your own handwriting. The owner is able to add notes, short messages and even doodle, along with adding still photos. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 came out on 4G LTE at AT & T on 9th November 2012, the device has a slim profile, measuring just 0.37 inches (9.3 mm). The 5.55 inch True HD screen has an aspect ratio of 16 to 9, which is perfect for viewing in HD, it comes with 720 x 1,280 pixels.
Talk time can be up to 15 hours when the battery has been charged fully, and the Samsung Exynos 4 system processor is based on a quad core 1.6 GHz Cortex A9 CPU. A quad core graphics processor is also included; it comes with 16 GB of storage along with having 2 GB of RAM. The handset supports microSD card for extra storage, while the back facing camcorder is 8 megapixels and is capable of taking video at 1080p HD.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 now comes with a price tag of around $ 199.99 on contract.
