The company has already submitted Xiaomi smart Redmi Note 2, based on the chipset Helio X10. But it seems that the Chinese manufacturer plans to bring to market even more powerful version of the gadget, the “heart” which will deliver top-end hardware platform MediaTek Helio X20.
MediaTek Helio X20 is considered to be the world’s first 10-core mobile chipset. It includes three clusters of nuclei, the first of which consists of four core ARM Cortex-A53 processor with a clock frequency of 1.4 GHz, the second – from the same core, overclocked to 2 GHz, and the third is equipped with a dual-core Cortex-A72 with a working clock frequency up to 2.5 GHz.
This 3-cluster solution enables MediaTek Helio X20 easy to get around such flagship platform as Snapdragon 810 and Exynos 7420. Of course, more powerful version of Redmi Note 2 is unlikely to maintain the same price tag at $ 125, the original smartphone. But its value is sure to be much lower than the price of similar products of competitors. And some journalists now call it a real “killer” flagships.
The Informers clarify that Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 platform MediaTek Helio X20 will be in stores in the last months of the year.
