Samsung SDI, which was the hero of all the news about exploding smartphones Galaxy Note 7, signed a contract to supply lithium-ion batteries for Lucid Motors.
As noted in the joint statement of the companies, the partnership with Lucid Motors will allow Samsung SDI to establish the production of batteries that are able to surpass the already-produced efficiency, energy consumption and security.
According to the technical Director of Lucid, Peter Rowlinson, who was the chief engineer of Tesla Motors, the company’s customers “receive tangible benefits” from cooperation Lucid Motors and Samsung SDI.
While Lucid Motors has introduced a prototype electric sports sedan with a capacity of 1000 HP.
