Spice has answered the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3 stylus based premium smartphone with a phablet that is less than half Note 3′s cost.
The Spice Pinnacle Stylus Mi-550 has silently made its way to the official Spice store at a price of Rs 15499. The 5.5 inch phablet (with a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels) assisted by a stylus is being pegged as a great device for creating docs and communicate with others. The phablet runs on a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and has got a RAM of 1 GB. There is 8 GB of internal memory in the phone which can be expanded using a micro SDcard.

Other features include 8 megapixel primary rear camera capable of 1080p full HD video recording, 2 megapixel front camera, 2500 mAh battery. This is a dual sim phablet with connectivity options via 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB.
The phablet features gesture screen unlock. The phablet comes for purchase at Spice store at a price of Rs 15499. The company will ship in booked phablets from 14th October.
The Spice phablet comes to compete with the recently launched Galaxy Note 3 5.7-inch device from Samsung and the 5.7-inch Micromax Canvas Doodle 2. While the Galaxy Note comes at a premium price of Rs 47,900, the Canvas Doodle 2 (running a similar 1.2 GHz quad-core processor) comes at Rs 17799. At a price of Rs 15499, the Spice Note-like device is a steal.
