Rosaviation cancelled the recommendation to ban the transportation of Galaxy Note 7 in the planes – Interfax

Moscow. 25 Jan. INTERFAX.RU – the Rosaviation cancelled the recommendation to ban the carriage and use of smartphones Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in the aircraft.

This was preceded by an appeal to the Federal air transport Agency of Samsung Electronics, which reported on the action taken for problem smartphones.

“Samsung has stopped global sales of Galaxy Note 7, as well as further production of this device and carried out a program of voluntary exchange for other models, reports the Federal air transport Agency. As additional measures to ensure security, the company has released a forced update of the software remaining in circulation of smartphones Galaxy Note 7. This update lowered the battery level to 0%. Thus, were forcibly blocked from charging this model and that the device can connect to mobile networks and wireless Internet.”

the Rosaviation has addressed to airlines with a request to consider this information “and believes it is possible to stop further informing passengers about banning the use of smartphones Galaxy Note 7 on Board the aircraft, including baggage”.

In September last year, Samsung Electronics has announced a global recall Galaxy Note 7 due to defective batteries, which could lead to the ignition devices and the explosion during charging. Later Rosaviation recommended to turn off and not charge the smartphones of this model throughout the flight, not to transport them in Luggage, and not use them at airports.
