A new set of developer Oculus Rift DK2 uses the front half of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 as a display – ITC Online

A few days ago, experts iFixit broke dismantled new developer kit virtual reality glasses Oculus Rift DK2, improved version of the prototype Crystal Cove, which was shown at the January CES this year. Disassemble the unit, they found one of the components of a familiar logo undisputed leader of the smartphone market – Samsung.

As you probably already guessed, this component was the front half of Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which is used as a display. It is worth noting that the Samsung logo is in its usual place. Moreover, its location is not changed even slots under the “Home”, speaker and various sensors.
