Brand Samsung did not perceive worse because of a defect of the Galaxy Note 7 – AdIndex.ru

Global opinion troubled smartphone Galaxy Note 7 has changed the mood of the consumer, but did not lead to a significant worsening of the perception of the Samsung brand, writes “Kommersant”, citing a survey by TNS and Ipsos. Brand perception has deteriorated in those countries where it has begun official sales of Galaxy Note 7 in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Australia. In the United States on the question of what brand of smartphone respondents prefer the rest, Samsung called of 37.7%, which is 2.2 percentage points (PP) less than in the first half of 2016.

During this same time period of pride of owning the branded products (PTO Compete) in the United States fell by 5.5 unit 89.6 points. In Russia, 32.8% of the respondents chose Samsung’s most preferred smartphone brand, is 0.2% lower than in the first half of 2016. An indicator of the pride of owning a Samsung in Russia rose by 2.2 points to 79.6.

Spontaneous awareness of Samsung increased in 14 countries, in particular, in Canada it rose by 6 percentage points to 84.8%. In Russia this indicator increased by 0.4 percentage points to 84.4 per cent.

Samsung Electronics has not confirmed nor denied the results of this survey.

Samsung presented a smartphone Galaxy Note 7 2 August 2016, and later around the world were recalled 2.5 million of the gadgets due to overheating and spontaneous combustion of batteries.
