the Time spent by engineers on the development of Samsung Galaxy Note 7, did not return, at best their work will be useful in the Galaxy S8, if Samsung will not fundamentally change its new flagship. As for all software developments created specially for the Galaxy Note 7, that would be stupid from them to just give up.
Galaxy Note 7 was supposed to be the first smartphone with a shell UX Grace, which replaced the TouchWiz and updated to work with the stylus. Grace UX contains new default apps from Samsung (gallery, phone, message, etc.), redesigned home screen, updated settings menu and new notifications.
Samsung found where to use them: now part of the chip Note 7 and the shell UX Grace became available to owners of last year’s Galaxy Note 5 in Korea. An update began to do today on smartphones running on the network mobile operator Korea Telecom.
Galaxy Note 5 was presented on 13 August 2015. The smartphone originally runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) c proprietary shell TouchWiz, which was later updated to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The new firmware is based on the same version of Android, so chips of Nougat Android users of Galaxy Note 5 will not receive. Nevertheless, this update brings many changes to the system and increases the speed of the device.
When Samsung plans to update the international version of the Galaxy Note 5 is not reported.
