In early August, Samsung announced a new flagship Galaxy Note 7 (more details). The device received the body of curved glass and metal, as well as the most modern specifications – 5,7 “QHD-brightness display with a record, Snapdragon chipset 820 / Exynos Octa 8, 4 GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera, iris scanner, Wi-Fi-module 4×4 MIMO (the first time) and Android Marshmallow. Another feature was the use of PHABLET glass Gorilla Glass 5 for protecting a curved screen from damage and scratches. Corning said about the double anti-shock performance (compared with Gorilla Glass 4), but the way things really are? Check out this resource took XEETECHCARE, who got the opportunity to test a sample of Galaxy Note 7 to the test. The tests consist of three main phases – a drop-test (unpacking a gift), immersion in water (remember, the device is officially protected from water and dust to IP68 standards) and check with a knife and a hammer. Watch:
The first two Galaxy Note 7 tests passed without any problems (not counting paint stripped and cleaved in a corner), but with the hammer was more difficult – and surrendered glass cracked on both sides. However, hardly anyone surprised that any glass can be broken. In general, Galaxy Note 7 showed satisfactory results for a premium smartphone. Recall, the flagship of the Russian market will be Sept. 16 at the price of 64,990 rubles.
