iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus for the first time in the history of “apple” smartphone received 2 GB of RAM, which should enhance the effect of power chipset A9. By the standards of Android-smartphone, even this amount is not too large – top solutions the end of 2015 have 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4. But is it so important? PhoneBuff decided to check it out, having a comparative benchmark iPhone 6S, and Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Last precisely boasts 4 GB of RAM and a powerful eight-core Exynos chipset 7 Octa 7420. To determine the winner authors chose 10 applications – four standard (Clock, Camera, Gallery, Settings), three games (Temple Run 2, Angry Birds, Clash of Clans) and three third-party software (Photoshop, The Score, and Amazon). They were all run one after the other on each of the devices and measure the time to fully open the latter. Watch:
The first round ended in favor of the iPhone 6S, but the advantage was only 2 seconds. Rerun must be decisive and, in theory, should have ended in triumph Galaxy Note 5 (application runs in the background). But it turned out the opposite – iPhone 6S brought as much as 16 seconds to his rival. The results are quite interesting in the sense that in the corresponding test Galaxy Note 5 beat other top Android-smartphone – LG G4 and OnePlus 2 (experiencing the same problem in the second round). Does this mean that the iPhone 6S faster than any Android-smartphone? PhoneBuff promises to check it in the following series.
