In the previous year, Google launched the Android 4.4 KitKat update. But back then, only the Nexus devices received it. Since then, some manufacturers have received the update but Samsung’s flagship devices still haven’t took a bite of the KitKat.

Here is a list of the Samsung Galaxy US devices that the Korean tech giant plans to updated to the Android 4.4 KitKat:

– Galaxy Note 3
– Galaxy Note II
– Galaxy S 4
– Galaxy S4 mini
– Galaxy S4 Active
– Galaxy S4 zoom
– Galaxy S III
– Galaxy S III mini
– Galaxy Mega
– Galaxy Light
– Galaxy Note 8.0
– Galaxy Tab 3
– Galaxy Note 10.1
– Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition

The list above presents a sizeable number of devices. It is a good sign that Samsung is committing to bumping its products to Android 4.4 KitKat already. What is even better is that Samsung already broke its silence and confirmed that the Android 4.4 KitKat update is already coming, which means that fans will no longer spend weeks or months thinking when will they get the software update.

Similar to the software updates of Samsung in the past, the company announced that the exact release date of the Android 4.4 KitKat for the Galaxy devices will vary.

According to Samsung, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 2 and other US variants of Galaxy devices owners expect to see new goodies when they will receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update. Some updates are expected to come with Android 4.4 KitKat update like Wi-Fi and network toggles, Location Menu that will house GPS, upgraded Google apps with automatic photo and video back-up, enhanced messaging with an option to select the device’s default messaging app and an improved and more intuitive UI.
