Get the Galaxy Note 3 for these 2 Killer Features: Superfast Data Transfer ... - International Business Times AU

The Galaxy Note 3 release date revealed tons of killer features for the third-gen phablet but beyond the monster quad-core processing chips and its massive Super AMOLED 5.7-inch display screen, two new functionalities deserve more than a second look.

One of the easily noticeable distinctions of the Note 3 from its Sammy cousin, the Galaxy S4, or any other handsets already out in the market is the large connectivity port located at the bottom of the device.

According to Droid Life, this port represents the new microUSB 3.0 technology and judging by its dual-port configuration, this is a major step up from previous builds not only of the Samsung phablet but also of other Androids.

One of the key gains is the ability to transfer files from a PC to the Note 3, that is when the gadget is hooked up using the compatible connecting cable, which is part of the accessories that Samsung has included in the Note 3′s retail package.

This should mean that huge amount files can be transported from point A going into point B and vice versa. The Note 3 will chew in large pics, music, movies and any other digital with users enjoying the welcome benefit of swift transfer. And it is a two-way street, mind you.

Then another plus – the Note 3 will extract power juice when connected to a PC, at an output rate of 900mA, according to Droid Life, which obviously is much quicker than seen in gadgets still governed by older USB standard.

It was not specifically stated in the report but it should be safe to assume that PC charging the Note 3 could become at par with conventional charging, which is hooking up the device directly to a power outlet.

If indeed true, these new killer features promise of extra convenience and savings for future Note 3 buyers, especially those working in front of PCs for extended hours in a given day.

And again, it should be safe to assume that microUSB 3.0 will become a mainstay on future Samsung gadget lines, specifically the high-end class, which in 2014 would likely be the handset known for now as the Galaxy S5.

Together with these new offerings, the second Samsung flagship for 2013 is poised to fly off the shelves anew with the following mix of incredible upgrades from the Galaxy Note 2: a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip (or Exynos Octa CPU for some selected markets), a 13MP shooter, Jelly Bean 4.3 and the new S-Pen that Samsung said has increased productivity potentials due to its incredible multi-tasking features.

Release date of the Galaxy Note 3 has already commenced in select markets this week while the full-blown rollout will start in October, targeting US and other key destinations around the world.

Galaxy S4, S3, Note 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates kick off in October - Examiner.com

Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 owners can expect a system update to the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS before the end of 2013. Samsung is set to begin rolling out the updates to select Galaxy series devices, starting this October according to new reports.

As SamMobile reported Wednesday (Sept. 25), Samsung is rumored to have already began testing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 devices. Samsung Galaxy S4 should receive the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in October. The Galaxy S3 update is expected to be released in late October or early November. Finally, the Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 3 may get its update in late November or early December, according to SamMobile.

Earlier reports note that a leaked AT & T Galaxy S3 benchmark test suggests that the update is in it’s final stages before its release. This also hints that Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 devices running on AT & T’s network could be among the first to receive the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.

One of the key purposes for the 4.3 Jelly Bean update is to allow the Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 to be compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch, which uses Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE). Samsung confirmed that the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update release dates will arrive before the end of this year, although exact dates were not specified, as the Korea Times reported Wednesday.

“All functions of the Gear will be connected to the Galaxy S4 smartphone by next month and the connection will be expanded to Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 by the end of December,” executive vice president for marketing at Samsung Mobile, Lee Young-hee said Wednesday.

Other reports forecast US Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 devices on AT & T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon will receive the updates sometime in December. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates are known to kick off internationally first, followed by US devices.

When available, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates will arrive to select Galaxy devices as an over-the-air (OTA) for installation. As with other updates, Samsung Galaxy device owners also have the option of checking for and downloading software updates via Samsung Kies.

Aside from overall enhancements to the TouchWiz UI and camera app, as per the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean official changelog, here are some of the changes to expect:

Dial pad

  • Autocomplete – just start touching numbers or letters and the dial pad will suggest phone numbers or names. To turn on this feature, open your phone app settings and enable “Dial pad autocomplete.”

Graphics

Keyboard & input

Location

Networking

Settings

System

  • Restricted profiles – put your tablet into a mode with limited access to apps and content.

  • Setup wizard simplification – getting started on Android is easier thanks to the ability to correct previous input, and because of streamlined user agreements.

  • Faster user switching – switching users from the lock screen is now faster.

  • Enhanced photo daydream – navigate through interesting albums.

Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update reportedly in testing, to arrive ... - Android Authority

Galaxy Note 2

According to a new report, Samsung is currently testing the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note 2, although the rumor can’t be verified just yet.

The news comes from Sam Mobile , which has apparently learned that the Android 4.3 tests for Samsung’s second Note version have just begun:

The publication, which has been accurate with previous Samsung-related leaks, speculates that the company will first bring the Android 4.3 update to the Galaxy S4 (October) and Galaxy S3 (October / November), with the Galaxy Note 2 said to receive the latest Android version by the end of the year (late November or December).

Furthermore, Samsung is also said to be testing Android 4.3 on its two Galaxy Mega models, although nothing can be officially confirmed just yet.

A previous report said that the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 will be upgraded to Android 4.3 at some point in October.

Sure, Google may unveil and launch a new Android version by the time Samsung updates its current and previous flagship devices to Android 4.3, but that wouldn’t be the first time something like this would happen.

For what it’s worth, we’ll remind you that the Galaxy Note 3 is officially available in various countries, running Google’s latest operating system. Not to mention that the Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition and the Google Nexus 10 also run Google’s latest OS version.

Samsung Testing Android 4.3 for Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 - The Droid Guy

On the day it makes a high end phablet Galaxy Note 3 (Note III) available, a device that is rolling out globally, there are reports that Samsung has embarked on testing the next major operating system software upgrade for a number of Galaxy devices notably S4, S4 and Note3 to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Samsung is said to be testing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system and the question is when should the end user expect an official update? Samsung has featured in the news lately, from its launch of galaxy Gear smartwatch alongside Galaxy Note 3 phablet to rumor of the company preparing to release a smartphone with a flexible screen this October.

Samsung Galaxy

The guys at Sammobile are saying that Samsung has just started the testing the system on these devices but it looks like a roll out may be a little farther away than the Samsung Galaxy S4, S4 and Note II owners would have liked. Users in the US in particular may have to wait longer than international users as it is tradition for Samsung to start with international version when rolling out major software updates.

If you have a Galaxy S3, S4 or Note II and cannot wait to get the latest Android update which promises new features, look and feel, the guys at Sammobile places a rollout sometime between November and December – on the Brightside you may flaunt your Galaxy over Christmas with a new OS =).

What reasons are there to look forward to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean besides the new catchy moniker? Unfortunately, Android 4.3 Jelly bean is not so different from 4.2.2 or whichever version of Android you are running – Android 4.3 is expected to come with the new Samsung UI TouchWiz which has all the features that Galaxy S4 came with. We are unsure whether the Note II Android 4.3 will come with the same features yet though.

Google made significant under-the-hood improvements to Android 4.3 that should make it a more responsive and faster operating system. We also do hope that Samsung has fixed the many bugs on its TouchWiz UI that many users have reported. Whether we will be seeing an Android 4.4 KitKat for Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and NoteII is a discussion for another. Samsung pledges its commitment to bring timely Android updates and software upgrades so let’s hope the major update rolls out soon.

Samsung p , left 30 million Galaxy Note 2 & # x438; 10000000 - Galaxy Note

Earlier this month, Samsung has announced the sale of 38 million planshetofonov Galaxy Note. And at yesterday’s event on the appearance of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in Taiwan, the Korean manufacturer has specified the bit that figure, adding that the company has delivered 30 million planshetofonov Galaxy Note 2 and 10 million – Galaxy Note first generation.

The question is, Will the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to surpass the achievements of previous flagship planshetofona Samsung. After all, the company already has a lot of decent products that attract a user’s attention.

The more that a week ago in Korea began accepting pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and insiders in the three major operators in the country one vote argue that the amount of pre-orders for this gadget is disappointing.
