Samsung is preparing an updated model of the smartphone Galaxy Note 2 - TECHLABS

The database benchmark AnTuTu discovered a new model of the South Korean smartphone Galaxy Note 2, which received a more powerful processor, presumably Snapdragon 600 with a clock speed of 1.89 GHz, and the results of synthetic tests failed to collect about 27,000 points.

note that in September, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note 3 on the basis of a single-chip platform Snapdragon 800, and therefore the appearance of an updated version of the previous generation smartphone seems strange and illogical, but perhaps the tested model was the next prototype.

According to unconfirmed information in the configuration Galaxy Note 3 will include a 5.7-inch screen and 3GB of RAM. It also assumes that the market will be three versions of vypusheno fableta.

Music @ Menlo starts on odd note with two-piano piece - San Francisco Chronicle

Bach didn’t actually compose for the piano, although there is some evidence that he inspected one or two of the newfangled contraptions shortly before his death in 1750. So it was a little surprising to see the summer season of the Music @ Menlo festival – three weeks of chamber music dedicated to Bach and his influence – getting under way Friday night with a program devoted to music for two pianos.

That sense of oddness kept up through the entire first half of the concert at the Center for the Performing Arts at Menlo-Atherton, a chronological tour through music by Bach, Schubert and Schumann. It was all well executed, but if there was a common thread running through the evening, it was hard to discern.

It was only after intermission – with a brisk and extravagantly clear-toned account of Bartók’s Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion – that the proceedings suddenly clicked into focus. Here at last was music that was speaking to the concert’s stated theme in an unmistakable way.

Written in 1937 on a commission from the Swiss patron Paul Sacher, Bartók’s Concerto revels almost exclusively in the piano’s hard-edged sonorities. With its busy rhythms and crisp harmonic tension, it’s practically a piece for percussion ensemble, and it redefines the very nature of two-piano interaction.

For Friday’s performance, pianist Wu Han (the festival’s co-founder and artistic director, along with her husband, cellist David Finckel) was joined by Gilbert Kalish, along with percussionists Christopher Froh and Ian Rosenbaum. Together, these four musicians offered a wonderfully streamlined and evocative reading of the piece – fearlessly clangorous in the opening movement, tender and thoughtful in the central slow movement, and unabashedly joyous in the lighthearted concluding rondo.

The first half of the program was more variable in its successes. The opening rendition of Bach’s Concerto for Two Pianos in C, BWV 1061, was beset by some balance issues, the result of combining a tiny string ensemble with two big, modern concert grands. And the two soloists, Derek Han and Gloria Chien, didn’t always see eye to eye on matters of tempo and rhythm.

Still, there were stretches of eloquence and dramatic flair, particularly in the energetic and intricate finale. And in the slow movement, the two pianists – left entirely to their own devices as the string players sat silent – worked up a rich contrapuntal weave.

After Han and Hyeyeon Park made their way through Schubert’s Rondo in A for Piano Four Hands – an unobjectionable but not very gripping diversion – Chien returned to join Han for a wonderfully strange and unknown piece by Schumann, the Andante and Variations for Two Pianos, Two Cellos and Horn. The music itself is as unpredictable as the instrumentation, moving suavely but surprisingly between bravura displays and tender choral passages. The performance – which featured cogent contributions from Finckel, cellist Laurence Lesser and especially hornist Kevin Rivard – made a strong case for it.

Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 hinted as next update for the handset by Telstra - Android Authority

Galaxy Note 2

Australian mobile operator Telstra has confirmed that the Galaxy Note 2 will not get the Android 4.2.2 update, and that instead it will move directly to a “newer version.”

A few days ago, a report revealed that certain Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3, may skip Android 4.2.2 entirely in favor of Android 4.3, which is most likely the “newer version” Telstra is referring to.

Here’s what Telstra posted on its update support pages:

Samsung have elected globally to skip the 4.2.2 update for this device and will instead go to a newer version of Android. No schedule has been provided for this update.

While Samsung has not mentioned anything about such updates, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Android device maker decide to go directly to Android 4.3 on certain devices.

Considering the increasing amount of Android 4.3 leaks – versions of the OS are available for the Galaxy S4 and Nexus 4 – it sure makes sense to expect Google to unveil Android 4.3 next week during its special media event.

In fact, earlier today we’ve seen yet another purported Nexus 7 specs screenshot that had Android 4.3 listed as the OS for the upcoming Android tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 updated to Android 4.3 without having to install Android 4.2.2? - AllTablets.ru - The world of tablet computers

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 updated to Android 4.3 without having to install Android 4.2.2? photo

Owners of smartphones and tablet computers Samsung is regularly criticized for poor producer in support of its own products, which is reflected in long delays in the release of updates to the Android OS or the complete lack thereof.

Last year it looked that way: as long as other devices upgraded to Jelly Bean, the company Samsung Electronics pretended that nothing was happening. Fears that the traditional policy of the manufacturer « one device – one operating system » will be continued in the future, still remain.

However, exceptions are still possible. A few days ago it was reported that Samsung has prepared firmware Android 4.2.2 for the Tablet PC Galaxy Note 8.0 and planshetofona Galaxy Note 2. According to the source, the site temefy, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will update immediately to version Android 4.3, bypassing the assembly 4.2.2. The same is rumored to be provided for smartphones Galaxy S3.

is not known how these statements are untrue. However, judging by the fact of the appearance of the network firmware for Android 4.3 smartphone Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition can be argued that the manufacturer has everything necessary for the transition to the new version of the operating system Android.

source claims that users Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 can count on a subsequent update, which will be referred to as Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

Titanium S9 fights with Galaxy Note 2, Optimus G Pro, Canvas 4, Nuclea N1 - Daily Bhaskar

The 5.5 incher from Karbonn, the Titanium S9 is here for pre-order, at a price of Rs 999.

The Karbonn Titanium S9 has got a 5.5 inch HD IPS Capacitive display with a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The large screen is aimed at better AV experience, e-book reading and gaming.

There is a 13 megapixel auto focus primary camera with flash and a secondary 5 megapixel front-camera for video chats and self-portraits.

There is a 16 GB internal memory and the up to 32 GB expandable memory in the phone. The battery is a huge 2600 mAh one to support all fast action on the S9. The device offers connectivity via 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS and USB. This is a dual sim phone with the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and will come at a price of Rs. 19990.

It is now available for pre-order at Snapdeal and has been added to the databases of Infibeam and Saholic under “Coming Soon” category.

In the next pages read a comparison with LG Optimus G Pro, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Micromax Canvas 4 and iBerry Auxus Nuclea N1.

The phone has been added to company’s website, but full specs if yet to be published by the company.

The Karbonn Titanium S9 is a 5.5 inch Android. Given the screen size, this phone will battle it out with the 5.5 inches from LG, the Optimus G Pro, two Samsung phones, the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Mega 5.8. A competition with the recent launches Micromax Canvas 4, iBerry Auxus Nuclea N1 can’t be ruled out, as the difference in screen size is just 0.5 inches.

Read how the Titanium S9 fares against its competitors in next page.

Karbonn Titanium S9 Vs LG Optimus G Pro

The Optimus G Pro has a full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels display with a stunning 400 pixel per inches pixel density. The phone runs Android 4.1 on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM in comparison to the S9′s MediaTek quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB supporting RAM.

Both have a similar 13 megapixel primary camera. Karbonn takes a step ahead with a 5 MP secondary camera, while the LG has got a 2.1 MP front shooter.

The LG phone has better UI overlays and premium features, which the Titanium S9 lacks. Battery is something where the LG phone lead, with a 3140 mAh battery, S9 manages with 2600 mAh power.

Optimus G Pro is the clear winner, though it is also twice the price of Titanium S9.

Karbonn Titanium S9 Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Display wise both of these have a 1280 x 720 pixel display on one 5.5 inch screen. The Galaxy Note 2 sports a super amoled screen while the S9 has an IPS panel. Both of these are good.

The Galaxy Note 2 is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-ore ARM Cortex A9 chip and is faster that the Titanium S9′s MediaTek quad core processor based on Cortex A7 chip.

There is a stylus support and better user interface and camera overlays in the Galaxy Note 2, which are absent in the S9. The primary camera in Note 2 is an 8 megapixel on with face and smile detection, touch focus, image stabilization and image editor. Karbonn needs to confirm these features on its camera. With image stabilization, the lesser MP camera also gives nice and crisp pictures.

There is no difference in terms of internal memory and battery. The serious lack in the Note 2 is its non-expandable memory, while the S9′s memory can be expanded up to 32 GB.

If you are ready to compromise on few OS and camera overlays at about Rs 9000 les, the Titanium S9 is definitely a good buy.

Read a comparison of the S9 with Canvas 4 and Auxus Nuclea N1 and others in next page.

Karbonn Titanium S9 Vs Micromax Canvas 4 and iBerry Auxus Nuclea N1

We hope you have read our comparison of the Auxus Nuclea N1 Vs Micromax Canvas 4. In our comparison we found that the Nuclea N1 is better that Canvas 4 in all other aspects (including processor, display, camera features, weight and screen protection), minus camera. Day light shooting will be good, especially if your photography is limited to facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp. But, if you deciding to go with a better camera phone (if camera is of primary importance to one), the Canvas 4 should be the choice.

In other cases the Nuclea N1 makes good choice. The Nuclea N1 costs Rs 15,990 while the Canvas 4 stands at Rs 17999.We think at Rs 4000 less the Nuclea N1 definitely is a better choice over the Titanium S9. For Micromax fans, the Canvas 4 makes a better choice.

Nuclea N1 has a faster processor than the Titanium S9. S9 runs on a MediaTek MT6589 1.2 GHz while the same in Nuclea N1 at 1.5 GHz has an additional Turbo power. The internal memory is just 4 GB that you can expand up to 64 GB and 2800 mAh battery in Nuclea N1. The S9 offers 16 GB internal and 32 GB external storage and 2600 mAh battery. The Nucleas N1 camera has got Canvas 4 like impressive overlays, and a dash of four colour options for the handset makes it a good preference.

Canvas 4 and Titanium S9 sport the same display resolution and Canvas owing to a 0.5 inch smaller screen size, offers better experience. The processor ate the same. The Titanium S9 has a 2600 mAh battery in comparison with Canvas 4′s 2000 mAh battery, and S9 has a bigger screen space to support too.

Samsung will update the Galaxy S3 and Note 2 immediately prior to Android 4.3 - News IT market

As you know, after the release of the new version of Android, comes to smartphones, it is very, very long time, mainly because of the slowness of the producers themselves, because many of the company, other than a simple modification of Android for their products makes a lot more work (for example, his own, recognizable interface, so the development of add-ons to the new version of Android is quite a long time, plus every single machine has the features that you want to adjust by the operating system).

Now the latest version of Android – 4.2.2, but is rumored to be in the near future will be released operating system version 4.3. According to the information received, such as devices from Samsung Note 2 and Galaxy S3, which is not an all-out firmware version 4.2.2, “pereskochat” with this version and release Android 4.3. will immediately update to the of this. This is one reason why so pulls Samsung with updates, because really – why release 4.2, if you can wait a bit and delight users the latest available version, which will be relevant in the next 8-14 months for sure (usually roughly the life cycle have an android version ).
Companies for sale are available here. If you have no desire or opportunity, to bother with the registration of the company – you can buy a ready-made – it’s much faster, and in some cases, and more profitable.

Samsung Delays Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Update for Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 to Deliver ... - International Business Times AU

The long wait for Jelly Bean 4.2.2 is reportedly further extended to December 2013 at the latest, disheartening anew tens of millions of Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 users around the world, new reports said.

Yet the bad news is quickly erased by Samsung ‘s alleged plan of directly bumping up the two 2012 Android flagships to Jelly Bean 4.3, making the long wait worth for GS3 and Note 2 owners, CNET said in a report, citing tech blog site Temefy as its source.

The supposed plan will shove Jelly Bean 4.2.2 out of the picture for the South Korean tech giant’s former signature handsets. Yet recipients of the upcoming Android upgrade patch will have to stock up on patience as the step up will not happen until the last month of 2013.

CNET, however, hinted that Samsung could wrap up the reconfiguration of the latest Jelly Bean sweets by November, giving the throng of GS3 and Note 2 users their early Christmas present.

The best is yet to unfold as the possibility is very high that Key Lime Pie will be dispatched for the delight of Galaxy S4 owners earlier than expected. No specific date was provided by the Temefy report but it implied that would-be buyers of the third-gen phablet Galaxy Note 3 will experience the same KLP joy.

That points to a holiday gift for GS4 and Note 3 fans. It is possible too that KLP will soon power the GS3 and Note 2, making it a double-whammy of bliss for owners of the bestselling devices.

It could be that between December 2013 and January 2014, Android 5.0 will supersede Jelly Bean 4.3 on upscale Samsung smartphones, at least in the cases of the GS3 and Note 2.

As earlier asserted by Gotta Be Mobile, the GS3 and the Note 2 remain an attractive buy for Android user as their power features will be at par with 2013 and 2014 smartphone series. But the biggest bonus for would-be buyers is the thought that Samsung will continue supporting the handsets for an extended time. That would mean future Android updates will be deployed.

Jelly Bean 4.3 is supposed to come out last week of this month with Google Editions of the GS4 and HTC One to initially display the mobile OS. KLP, on the other hand, will reportedly debut in October and it is the Nexus 5 that will first showcase its prowess.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs. HTC One Max with two essentials - Phones Review

Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3-vs-HTC-One-Max-with-2-essentials

Two phablet type smartphones will be battling it out at some point this year, and these will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One Max. We know a number of our readers have chosen a brand already, and this might be due to the love for their respected smartphone maker or thanks to an experience they’ve had previously with either brand.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs. HTC One Max – the full official specs and release date for both these devices is yet to land, although we have seen a lot of leaks and rumors painting a clear picture of what to expect.

We took a look at these rumors and the expected specification for each phablet in this article, so feel free to take a look at that information if you want to see how the specs stack up in comparison.

HTC One Max needs two improvements to compete – today, we wanted to highlight two improvements needed with the HTC One Max to make a much better handset than the HTC One. In our opinion, the HTC One is impressive and stylish but just increasing that smartphone in size wouldn’t be enough to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The HTC One Max needs to include a removable battery and SD card slot in our opinion. This would be a vast improvement on the lack of removable battery and SD cards on the HTC One.

We are not the only ones thinking this change is essential, and a number of our readers have also voiced an interest in seeing these extra features on the HTC One Max. One commenter stated, “Not having a removable battery and SD card are deal breakers”. Another said, “The only thing stopping me from upgrading to HTC is the lack of SD card expansion and removable battery”.

Do you think a 5.9-inch phone in the form of a HTC One Max would be enough to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3? If not, what specs and features would you like to see on the Max?

HTC Butterfly S "2" vs One Max: Two Galaxy Note 3 rivals? - PopHerald.com

Update: Added link to HTC’s Butterfly S landing page.

If I’m not mistaken, HTC Corp (TPE: 2498), the company based in Taiwan, will sell two large smartphones by end of this year: the HTC One Max and the HTC Butterfly S.

The mobile phone maker betting mainly on Android already revealed the latter, but the One Max is still wrapped and will hit the stage sometime this quarter alongside the HTC One Mini. Can one of the phones outsell the Samsung Galaxy Note 3? Is Verizon getting the Butterfly S and call it a new Droid DNA?

And what are the things that separate the two HTC phones? Let’s look at the official features first before discussing all the rumors – specifically the HTC One Max’s attributes.

First, the HTC Butterfly S, the successor to the Butterfly series. Unlike its predecessor, the international version of HTC Droid DNA, the Butterfly S will offer “BoomSound” – the dual-speakers which offer better music quality – similar to the HTC One. And then, HTC also added the new Sense 5 launcher, and still similar to the “One,” the Sense user interface on the Butterfly S is equipped with the RSS-fetcher BlinkFeed allowing users to quickly access and read articles from top websites and posts on supported social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

HTC Butterfly S Sense 5 also supports the new Roboto font, new icons, cleaner platform with more white spaces and of course, it also includes the intuitive multitasking UI which lets users see more running apps on single screen, and dismiss them one by one by swiping the app’s window up.

Apparently, HTC has added a lot of HTC One features to the Butterfly series as part of the company’s “unification” strategy – but not on the design, unsurprisingly. Unlike the One’s aluminum zero-gap full body, the Butterfly S flaunts polycarbonate case which is arguably not for “high-end” phones in today’s standard, except for Samsung phones which are still using plastic, glossy plastic.

The HTC Butterfly S obviously falls under the “phablet” category and will compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the device boasts a 5-inch 1080p LCD touchscreen display with more than 400 pixels per inch, beating the Retina display on the iPhone 5. The large Android phone runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 out of the box, so no more waiting for the software update. It also features the same 4-UltraPixel camera with HTC’s custom camera app which takes advantage of the phone’s back-facing “4MP” camera with upsized pixels.

And here comes the rumor mill – the HTC One Max, a new addition to the aluminum-equipped HTC One series. Unlike the Butterfly 2, the Max will reportedly feature anodized aluminum body too, just like the One, and the only difference is its larger 5.9-inch 1080p display, and because it is larger, it might offer fewer pixels per inch than the HTC One’s 4.7-inch with the same resolution rocking a staggering 460 plus pixels per inch.

HTC is also expected to “upgrade” the processors on the HTC One Max, from the Snapdragon 600 on the HTC One, the Max will reportedly offer quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.3 GHz, and the larger 3,300 mAh battery with a longer battery life promise. For comparison, the HTC Butterfly S will ship with 3,200 mAh battery, while the HTC One includes a non-removable 2,300 mAh battery.

The HTC Butterfly S will invade the “unlocked” market first, phone pundits are saying, and HTC has nothing to share yet about the phone’s future in America. However, Verizon launched the first Butterfly phone last year, and changed its name to HTC Droid DNA – so it is safe to say that Verizon might grab the opportunity to slightly tweak the Butterfly 2 and call it the Droid DNA 2 – what do you think ?
